Garage Flooding at 10pm
A homeowner called just after 10pm on a Saturday. Water was pooling across the garage floor and she had already shut the main valve off. Two other companies she called had gone to voicemail.
A supply line fitting at the base of the water heater had corroded and failed. The unit was 11 years old — and Everett's Spada Lake water mineral content accelerates corrosion on older fittings. The tank itself was still sound.
We replaced the failed fitting, pressure-tested the connection, and confirmed the water heater tank was structurally fine. We advised the homeowner on what to watch for given the unit age — and did not push a replacement she did not need that night.
